M Momentum

Terms of Service

Effective May 2, 2026

Short version: be kind to your group-mates, don't post anything illegal or abusive, and we can remove people who do. You can leave anytime by deleting your account from Profile → Delete account.

1. Who can use Momentum

Momentum is for people aged 13 and over. By creating an account, you confirm that you're at least 13 (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, if higher) and that the email address you provided belongs to you.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password secure. Don't share your account or use someone else's. If you suspect unauthorized access, reset your password immediately and email us at support@momentum-app.com.

You may delete your account at any time from inside the app (Profile → Delete account). Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use Momentum to:

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Use the in-app Report action (long-press a user's name) to flag anything that violates these rules. We review every report. Confirmed violations result in account removal, typically within 24 hours of a reviewed report.

4. Your content

You own the content you put into Momentum — your goal titles, your reactions, your reports. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and transmit your content solely so we can operate the service (e.g. show your goals to the group-mates you've chosen, deliver pushes about your activity). This license ends when you delete the content or your account.

You're responsible for the content you post. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share.

5. Groups and admins

Anyone can create a group. The creator is the first admin. Admins can approve or reject join requests, and can remove members. If the sole admin of a group deletes their account, admin status is automatically transferred to the next-longest-tenured member.

Joining a group means other group members will see your goals, activity logs, and reactions for that group. If you're not comfortable with that, leave the group from its settings page.

6. Push notifications

We send a small set of push notifications: a Sunday morning goal reminder, a notification when someone reacts to your activity, and a notification to admins when someone requests to join their group. You can turn pushes off at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → Momentum.

7. Termination

You may stop using Momentum at any time and delete your account from inside the app. We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these terms, that we suspect of fraudulent or harmful activity, or that has been inactive for more than 24 months.

8. Disclaimers

Momentum is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, that the service will be error-free, or that it will meet any specific goal or outcome you have in mind. We're not your trainer, therapist, or coach — Momentum is a habit-tracking tool you choose to use voluntarily.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Momentum and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months — which, for a free app, is zero.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ireland, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to file in your local courts.

11. Changes

We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app and reflected in the effective date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
