Delete your account
You can permanently delete your Momentum account and all your data from inside the app at any time. The deletion is immediate and irreversible. There's no "undo" — by design, so you can be sure your data is gone.
Delete from inside the app
The fastest path. About 10 seconds.
- Open Momentum on your iPhone.
- Tap the Profile tab (bottom-right).
- Scroll to the bottom of the screen.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm Delete forever in the alert.
The app signs you out automatically and bounces back to the sign-in screen. By the time that happens, your data is gone.
What gets deleted
All of the following, all at once:

| Sign-in info | Your email and (if you used email sign-up) your password. If you used Sign in with Apple, the link between Momentum and your Apple ID. |
| Profile | Your display name and account creation date. |
| Goals | Every goal you've ever set, in every group, including past weeks. |
| Activity logs | Every day you've checked off. |
| Streaks | Every streak counter, current and historical. |
| Reactions | Reactions you gave to others' logs, and reactions you received on yours. |
| Group memberships | Your membership in every group. If you were the only admin of a group, another member is automatically promoted to admin before your account goes. Groups where you were the only member are removed along with you. |
| Notification settings | Your category toggles and the device tokens that delivered push notifications to your iPhone. |
| Blocks & reports | Your block list and any reports you filed against other users. |
Can't access the app?
If you've lost your iPhone, can't sign in, or otherwise can't reach the in-app Delete account button, email us at support@momentum-app.com from the email address you signed up with. We'll verify the request and complete the deletion manually within 30 days.
A few small things we keep
If a report has been filed against you for behavior that violated our Terms — harassment, impersonation, that kind of thing — we may keep the report itself for up to 90 days after deletion to prevent the same person creating a new account and continuing the behavior. Nothing else is retained.
Our system backups can include your data for up to 14 days after deletion before they roll off. Backups are only ever used to recover from a major outage, never to restore an individual account.
Changed your mind?
Once your account is deleted we can't restore it — there's no "undo." If you decide to come back later, just sign up again with the same email. It'll be a brand new account.
